Florida Unemployment Claim
The date that an unemployment claim is filed will have an impact upon the date that benefits will begin to be paid to a claimant. The application form must be fully filled out within 72 hours and submitted by midnight Eastern US Time on Saturday. The telltale sign that a claim has been completed will be when a confirmation number appears on the screen. The total time required to complete the Florida unemployment claim should be between 30 to 60 minutes.
If a claimant cannot file online, there is a phone number below that can be called for assistance. Any claimant using WebTV will not be able to complete the application unless they go to their nearest One-Stop Center and use its in-house computers. The Florida unemployment claim website has a tool for finding One-Stop Centers closest to the claimant geographically.

Some helpful tips for filing claims are below. For claimants who are filing for the very first time, or indeed even those who are re-filing, it is recommended that they take advantage of online resources such as www.fluidnow.com. A claim can be filed at literally any time in the day, and certification can take place on Fridays between 7am and 7pm. Filing and certifying by telephone is useful for those with no web access, although claimants should be aware that the busiest days are Monday and Tuesday. It is advisable to call on Wednesday through Saturday if seeking information about a filed claim. It is also worth contacting this system after 5pm to avoid periods of high usage. Claimants should always have relevant information ready when they file a claim. This should include such data as the periods they have worked over, reason for leaving or sacking, and the name and details of their previous employers.
